Indica plants grow short and bushy, with wide leaves and short blades. The buds are similarly wide and bulky. Indica strains have lower THC content and primarily increase dopamine in the brain. For many people, this produces a lower-energy “stoned” feeling and full-body relaxation useful for muscle relaxants and acute pain relief, as well as treating insomnia.
Sativa plants grow tall and thin, bearing narrow leaves that have a lighter shade of green than that of Indica. With higher THC and lower CBD, users report a cerebral “high” that promotes focus and creativity. The serotonin boost that comes with medical Sativa makes it useful for managing anxiety and depression. Sativa is prescribed for chronic pain.
In addition to the pure Indica and Sativa strains, some strains are Indica-Sativa hybrids; the effects of these are more variable, so it is best to ask the staff at Acres Cannabis for more information before buying.

In order to purchase recreational cannabis in Nevada, customers must be 21 years old with valid, government-issued ID.
Under current Nevada state guidelines, recreational consumers are allowed to purchase up to one ounce (1 oz) of cannabis flower or one-eighth of an ounce (1/8 oz) of concentrate at one time from recreational dispensaries. A 15% excise tax will be added to the purchase.
If you live in Nevada, you can find Acres Cannabis at our flagship location in Las Vegas, where our primary dispensary is located (2320 Western Ave, at the intersection of Western Avenue and West Sahara Avenue). Here, you will also find The Underground: Marijuana Farmers Market, where small growers and cultivators can meet, chat and sell. Note that the products sold in The Underground are meant for recreational use specifically.
In addition, our newest dispensary will soon open in February 2019 in Ely, located in eastern Nevada; with more locations on the way. Check the locations page on our site for more information.
